Victim Offender Reconciliation Program (VORP)of Contra Costa County

Victim Offender Reconciliation Program of Contra Costa County is a community based restorative justice program designed to facilitate agreements between juvenile offenders and victims of crime with the goal of making things as right as possible. VORP provides a different approach to juvenile crime by giving the people involved an opportunity to decide how to best address the offense.

Opportunities available for mediation training, community volunteers, in-kind donation of facilities to hold mediations, and tax-deductible contributions.

    The Congress of Neutrals, established in 2000, provides the leadership necessary to create sanctuary from conflict.  We prepare citizens and community programs with the tools to handle disputes and deal with litigation, crime, disorder, uncertainty, and social and natural disasters.

   The Congress is committed to serve and to teach the larger community by providing the Contra Costa Superior Court with mediation in addition to teaching 25-40 hour mediation trainings at John F. Kennedy University Law School and throughout the community.

The Congress offers an interdisciplinary approach  toward all beliefs, methods and tools which seek solution by negotiation, inquiry, mediation, conciliation, arbitration, judicial settlement and resort to regional agencies or other non-violent means of their own choice.
